Overview

We’ve all lived in neighbourhoods where we pass the same cafés and shops every day, yet feel disconnected from them. Meanwhile, small businesses struggle to be seen by the very residents around them.



This led us to build a community app that connects residents directly to nearby businesses, making local services discoverable, trusted, and human again.

THE GAP / PROBLEM

Scale - over - locality gap

Our competitor analysis revealed a scale-over-locality gap. All existing platforms priorities reach and scale, while our solution focuses on neighbourhood discovery and meaningful resident–business engagement.

Before designing solutions, we defined our North Star: Business discovery, engagement, and behavioral network. Every feature and supporting metric was mapped to this outcome. Which are:

Residents discover business because people like them recommended them, boosting trust and driving local visits.

Residents invite more people → increases residential engagement → drives business traffic
